Book of Inscriptions
I was trying to sort out my storage just now and basically having a nightmare of it (again).
Now Inscriptions are just basically (magical) words or phrases inscribed on items that are compatible with them.
What I am proposing is a "Book of Inscriptions" ; basically it would be a Grimoire which would contain these inscriptions within it. when you aquire an inscription one could "write" it into the book until you needed to transcribe it onto a new medium. Visually one could go down several paths, here are two that came to mind.
1. Double click to open the book, Each page has space for "X" Inscriptions and you see the page displayed with each inscription on it, you flick through the "Y" pages untill you find the one you need.
2. Double click on the book, this opens a drop down menu simmilar to attribute tab (an index if you will) and you choose the one to use.
The first one is fancy and the second efficient. Personally I prefer the second but I know many people would prefer that "book" feel.
Here are some issues that need to be addressed.
- One type of Grimoire per Type of Inscription? Or will one "Book of Inscriptions" hold all types.
personal: holds all types
- Limit of inscriptions that can be "written in".
personal: 10
- Limit of "uses" the book can have? (Infinite or not)
personal: Infinite
- Would the Grimoire be Customized (only the char that wrote in it first can use it) - this is to preemptively stop "empty/ imperfect Grimoire trading scams"
personal: Customized
- What happens when the book is full or one wants to get rid of an inscription in it without using it on an item? Would there be an "erase" button or can one "click and drag" the inscription back out.
personal: erase
